Dec. 1, 2014 — Independent wealth manager, retirement planner and president of DeCesare Retirement Specialists, Stephen DeCesare, CFP®, was presented with the 2014 Five Star Wealth Manager Award from Five Star Professional, a market research organization dedicated to defining and promoting professional excellence. This is DeCesare’s third consecutive year of receiving this acknowledgement; the most recent honor will be published in the December 2014 issue of Philadelphia magazine.

Five Star Professional partnered with Philadelphia magazine to find wealth managers who satisfy 10 objective eligibility and evaluation criteria that are associated with wealth managers who provide quality services to their clients. Fewer than four percent of the nearly 28,000 wealth managers in the Philadelphia area were selected. Five Star Professional chose DeCesare as an award recipient based on its independent internal and external research data, including assessment of credentials, education, tenure and regulatory standards. The market research organization also conducts an annual survey of registered financial services professionals and all identified financial service companies in the Philadelphia area that are registered with FINRA or the SEC.
